Your eVisa is sent as a PDF to the email address you provide. It's worth printing a copy and keeping one on your phone, so you have it ready at the border.

Azerbaijani is the native language. Russian is widely understood, particularly among older generations and in business settings. English is increasingly common among younger people and in tourism-oriented venues in Baku, including hotels, restaurants, and major attractions, though it is less common outside the capital.

Your Azerbaijan eVisa is valid for 90 days from the date of issue. You must enter Azerbaijan within this 90-day period.

You can stay in Azerbaijan for up to 30 days within the 90-day validity period of your eVisa.

No mandatory vaccinations are required for entry to Azerbaijan from most countries. Travellers are recommended to be up to date on routine vaccinations and may wish to consult their doctor regarding hepatitis A, hepatitis B, and typhoid based on their planned activities. Yellow fever vaccination is required only if arriving from a country with risk of transmission.

No. The Azerbaijan eVisa is a single-entry visa. If you leave Azerbaijan during your trip, you'll need a new eVisa to return.

Each application is for one person. For families or groups, you can add a separate application for each traveler.

Yes. Every traveler needs their own eVisa, regardless of age. Children listed in a parent's passport still need a separate application.

Baku's most popular attractions include the historic Old City (Icherisheher), a UNESCO World Heritage site, the iconic Flame Towers, the Heydar Aliyev Center designed by Zaha Hadid, and the Maiden Tower. Visitors also frequently explore the Caspian seafront promenade (Bulvar), the Carpet Museum, and day trips to the Gobustan mud volcanoes and rock art reserve.

Visiting Armenia itself is generally not an issue. However, entry may be denied to travelers who have visited Nagorno-Karabakh or other regions of Azerbaijan that were entered without proper permission.

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from your arrival date in Azerbaijan, and at least 3 months after your eVisa expires.

While not always strictly enforced, Azerbaijani border officers may request proof of onward or return travel as part of the entry assessment. It is recommended that travellers carry confirmation of return or onward flights and accommodation bookings to facilitate smooth entry. Final entry decisions are made by border officers at the point of arrival.
